Netflix is a streaming service for movies and television shows. It is based in California, USA. With over 20 million subscribers, Netflix owns the largest market share for streaming platforms. The only source of revenue for Netflix is subscriptions. There are several tiers of services, in which the more expensive subscriptions stream to more devices and in better resolution. There is no ‘freemium’ model for Netflix – they do not offer a free trial or a reduced version as a loss leader.
